Usually, when someone looks at an agricultural field, not much comes to mind as interesting. As laypeople, at best, we notice the plants growing on it, marvel at its monotonous beauty, or perhaps its occasional slopes. However, there are places where what today seems like an insignificant landscape was once the living space of a thriving human community. A community that lived there for hundreds of years, building churches and stone buildings, and then, due to some historical event, it disappeared almost without a trace. Such a place is the site of a former monastery, manor house, and palisade fort located near the village of Bátmonostor in Bács-Kiskun County. The area is now largely an agricultural field but is also a significant archaeological site.
We are thrilled to share that the statue of Archangel Gabriel has been safely removed from its pedestal after more than 120 years, and our company was honoured to be part of this extraordinary project.
Over the past few months, we have been working on several exciting projects. One of the most challenging among them was a geophysical instrument development that we started at the request of one of our Clients. The goal was to create an entirely new measuring system capable of determining the specific electrical resistivity of the top 1.5 meters of soil. As a field instrument, in addition to ensuring high-quality data acquisition and incorporating modern technological solutions, the system also had to meet a wide range of other criteria, from maximum protection against natural elements to user-friendly operation.
