Prior to construction, a common question during landscaping is how much soil needs to be moved. With drone-based laser scanning and photogrammetric surveys, the earthmoving work and resource requirements can be estimated with high accuracy. By performing the surveys, the volume required for leveling the ground, or for removing earth in the case of an excavation, can be determined.
