Like any equipment, solar panels require regular inspection and maintenance. Now, imagine the immense labor and cost of manually inspecting thousands of solar cells across an area larger than 50 hectares—that's the equivalent of 10,000 average-sized Hungarian apartments—just to identify which ones may be short-circuited or damaged.
This year, Geosequence Kft. has supported several solar parks using drone technology. By utilizing thermal cameras mounted on drones, we can assess the condition of a 50-hectare solar farm in just a single day. The anomalies clearly visible in the aerial images allow our experts to create a fault map, pinpointing short-circuited, diode-defective, or damaged solar cells with centimeter-level precision. Alongside our high-resolution measuring cameras, we conduct inspections in both visible and infrared spectrums to detect physical damage, contamination, and external or internal factors that could impact energy production efficiency.
